On requirements for negative COVID-19 PCR test certificates of those entering the Russian Federation

Effective from December 8, 2021, negative laboratory PCR-test result for COVID-19 will be deemed valid for 48 hours, according to Decree No.33 of Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation A.Popova from December 4, 2021.

All foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation, including those entering for transit via the territory of the Russian Federation, are required to present the medical document proving the negative COVID-19 PCR test taken not more than 48 hours before entry.

In case it is impossible to submit the above documents in the Russian or English languages, it is allowed to submit it in the language of the state of registration of the organization that issued such a medical document, provided that it is accompanied with a Russian translation certified by a Consular official of the Russian Federation.
